Summer is the most favorite time of the year. Everyone is enjoying sunbathing on the beach, exploring exotic destinations and posting lovely pictures in bikinis. However, summer can be a nightmare for those, who do not feel confident in their body and do not have opportunities to travel abroad.
Not for nothing, this time has the high suicide rates. People are just scrolling social media on the way to work, compared to their friends with a sense of failure and insufficiency.
I dedicated this editorial to these individuals with the aim of giving them courage. You can be as cool as the popular Instagrammers, and experience extraordinary things even though you’re staying in the same town. Just be creative, and discover weird places in your neighborhood like me.
I took my pictures in the old Prague harbor in the nonpublic area, which gives me a feeling of being a child again. That’s why this shot reminds me of the Tideland by Terry Gilliam, which is the fantasy movie with the raw grunge atmosphere (definitely must see!).
The whole is completed by my dress from linen, which is the hottest fabric for the summer collections. It’s super comfortable and breathable. What’s more, the front button dresses are so 90s, and you can find them in every store or second hands.
Compare it to my older looks this could be a shock to yours. It is far away from power suits and tomboyish clothes, but I found refreshing of getting out of my comfort zone and experimenting with my identity. It helps me to get rid of my preconceptions and see the world from different perspectives.
Do you like experimenting with different styles too? Yay or Nay?
